Bio

Dr. José Luis de la Hoz holds a Doctorate in Medicine, is a specialist in Stomatology, and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California, USA. He holds a Master’s Degree in Orofacial and Craniomandibular Pain from Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology from Universidad Regenera. He is also an Expert in Dental Sleep Medicine, accredited by the Spanish Society of Dental Sleep Medicine.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, of which he is also an active member. He has served as President of the Spanish Society of Craniomandibular Dysfunction and Orofacial Pain and of the European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction, and remains an active member of both organizations.

Dr. de la Hoz is an active member of several national and international scientific societies related to pain, orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine, including the International Association for the Study of Pain, the European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Spanish Society of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Spanish Society of Stomatological Prosthetics and Aesthetics. He is also an active member and serves as Orofacial Pain Board Representative of the Spanish Multidisciplinary Pain Society.

He is also a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists.

Throughout his professional career, he has developed extensive clinical, teaching, and scientific activity, delivering lectures and courses at national and international level and authoring scientific publications in impact-factor journals.
