Biography

Stefan Leis is a distinguished neurologist, university lecturer, and intensive care specialist based in Austria. He currently serves as a group leader and faculty member at the University Clinic of Neurology at Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) in Salzburg, where he combines clinical practice, teaching, and research activities.

Throughout his career, Dr. Leis has successfully integrated patient care with academic excellence. He holds advanced qualifications in Special Pain Therapy, certified by the Austrian Medical Association, as well as additional training in Intensive Care Medicine. He also earned a Master of Medical Education (MME), reflecting his strong commitment to innovative and high-quality medical teaching.

His research focuses on clinical neurology, neurological intensive care, and neurorehabilitation. His scientific work covers a wide range of topics, including the diagnosis and management of autoimmune neurological disorders, neurotropic infections, and other complex diseases of the nervous system.

As a researcher, Dr. Leis has made significant contributions to the field, authoring more than 50 scientific publications and receiving over 1,200 academic citations. His work has helped advance the understanding of neurological diseases and improve the care of patients with severe neurological conditions.
